"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

This is a community for people who are interested in developing their artwork and being challenged by new ideas. We take the time to comment on each other's pieces and listen to suggestions with an open mind. We have a monthly newsletter with challenges for members to take part in if they wish and encourage stylistic growth.
Everybody can learn if they take it upon themselves to improve their art, and that is part of what Free From The Trend is all about.
The other part of course, speaks for itself.
We are a close-knit group of individuals - each with different interests, different skills and different styles. What brings us together? Originality, and a passion for self-expression. Just wait, and see what we can achieve together.

It's just for appreciating each other's work and supporting each other with comments/suggestions etc. To join, just add us to your watch and the journal entries will keep you updated for challenges, community news and so on.
By the way, new logo is (c) me and I know it's pretty rubbish...I'll clean it up when I have time. to make it appear type : icon free-from-the-trend : without any spaces and it will come up like this:
